Bartliff's Bakery - Clinton

Picked up a few baked were on the return due to the recommendation of a friend and they were delicious! would highly recommend. the restaurant is dated but has a long history for the city. part of the small town charm! diner back!

Second visit to this bakery, really enjoy their multigrain bread and selection of pastries, meat pies. Worth dropping in if in the area or passing through. Also is a restaurant, however, have not eaten there.

Homemade meals, reasonably priced. However, the service is a bit slow and it would help if you got acknowledged instead of just standing or sitting there. A smile on all the servers faces would make the world or difference also. The tables are quite close...to each other and the bathrooms are in the basement, which is about 12-14 steps down, so not the greatest for the elderly or those with arthritis. Other than that, it is pretty good.

After a couple of errands in Clinton my daughter, her boyfriend and my husband and I were looking forward to a treat on a rainy day. The brownies were very disappointing ie. stale and dry. The chocolate eclair was average at best. We won’t be...back.

Drove out of my way to buy one of bartlett’s “Chelsea” rolls....cakes...$8.25..... I was looking for home and tried 2 hours later. that was a real man. bartletts the next morning, the young lady, who answered, could not be less about the fact that I was. was not happy with her STALE product. her answer was, "how do we know they bought it yesterday?" how I lie when I bought a chelsea cake! She told me a lot that if I don't like it, then don't come back. seriously, get a decent staff. a senior in bayfield ontario
