Tate Island Grill - Clearwater Beach

My burger was hot, fresh and the cheese was perfectly melted. It wasn't something that was beaten up for the vegan. Suitable for the beach. Updated by previous review on 2023-03-11

Who knew that finding a vegan bungalow in Clearwater Beach would be so hard, especially with so many places that now have plant-based patties! While they have served it with packs of mayonnaise (the “real” Hellmans) on the side, there are other iceless, veg-friendly spices at the table-so, everything is redeemed! They have vegan cheese and many vegan cocktails, including a big **** Mary. It is also a magnificent view, with seating on the terrace, on white beaches and tangerine sunsets. Heat lamps are little and far, but they have it on a brisk evening. Bring a jumper.

We had a wonderful impossible burger with Violife Cheddar cheese. Our server was Vegan itself and was so helpful and sweet. She told us that the restaurant manager is also vegan! Corah also gave us tips on other local vegan restaurants. Tate's serves lunch and dinner and is located right on the beach at Sandpearl Resort. The view and the ambience are great.

Nice sitting on the beach, but had really slow service out there it seemed. Hubby has an impossible burger I am tired of from everywhere, and I only have the option that was a hummus appetizer guacamole. They gave me a side of vegetables to go with it. No longer the Veggie bean mix for Burritos.

Loved that we sat right on the beach. Only a couple of vegan options but the ones they had were pretty good.
