Golly G's Coffee, Ice Cream Sweets

Golly G's offers more than just ice cream; their grilled cheese sandwiches and bar pretzels are a delightful midday snack. The staff is incredibly friendly, to the point where my oldest child thinks they're all his friends when we visit. They also have a drive-through, which doesn’t really speed up the wait time but is convenient when I have two sleeping babies in the car. The giant cinnamon bun is absolutely delicious and perfect for sharing, and they have a variety of baked goods, including some keto-friendly options. The coffee is quite good, and I find their espresso drinks to be excellent. Of course, the ice cream is definitely worth a visit as well. There might be a wait for service, but it's absolutely worth it!

The food is delicious but pricey. My grandson follows a vegan diet due to allergies, and this restaurant is the only safe place for him to enjoy ice cream. They usually offer one vegan flavor, but if you let them know about the allergies, they will wash the scooper to prevent any cross-contamination.

I ordered the pineapple upside-down cake and wedding cake, but unfortunately, they didn't taste fresh. They had a strange flavor that reminded me of the fumes from the ice cream cooler, which is the best way I can explain it. Normally, the cakes are delicious, but in my recent visits, they have had this odd taste. Given the high prices, I expect them to taste fresh.

This was our first visit to Golly G?s and it was delicious! The girls were very pleasant and helped us with our selections. The pecan sticky bun was to die for, and the banana nut muffin was very tasty as well. We also got a coffee fudge milkshake and acaramel latte, and they did not disappoint either. We will definitely be back if we?re ever in the area again.

Golly G’s played a significant part in this relief effort. They drove through the city, offering their delicious treats to every worker, victim, and volunteer—completely free of charge! Despite our efforts to pay, they insisted on refusing any money. It’s worth mentioning that they don’t even live in this area; they came to help people whom they don’t see every day, who aren’t even their regular customers. They traveled a long distance to donate their products, time, and energy to a community that owes them nothing. That speaks volumes about their character. Even if their food had been subpar, I would still choose to spend my money there over other establishments. Thankfully, their ice cream was as exceptional as their generous spirit—it was absolutely delicious and very much appreciated. I felt honored to meet these wonderful people and truly blessed in ways that went beyond simply receiving free ice cream.
