Subway - Claremont

Overall, I've always enjoyed Subway, and one of my favorite items is the meatball sub. However, I've encountered a consistent problem: the sauce makes the bread a mushy, gooey mess by the time I get it home. To combat this, I always request as little sauce as possible, and when I see them making an effort to accommodate me, I leave a tip. Unfortunately, this time was not one of those occasions. The attached photo shows the extra sauce from just one half of the sandwich. The meatballs with a flavored bread are fantastic, but when they're paired with soggy, limp bread that feels like it’s falling apart, it’s a real disappointment. If a customer orders a meatball sub and specifically asks for minimal sauce, this should not be the result. Do you want your sandwich to collapse as soon as you take it out of the bag?

I was very disappointed with the service during my dinner. While I was waiting, I noticed that they were busy cleaning instead. It took a long time to get what I needed. I ended up going to the refueling area to get the drinks myself, but it didn't improve my experience. The service at the subway was particularly bad—no one apologized for the wait or acknowledged it in any way. Even when I was standing there, the staff just ignored me instead of offering assistance. I expected much better service, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

The restaurant is clean, and the food is excellent, meeting the high standards I expect from Subway. Even the restroom was in good condition.

Not quite the best fast food sub, but you can usually count on consistency at least. This location always does a good job with accuracy and the ingredients are fresh!

Maybe they should try making the hours on the website match the hours on the store for once in their life. It’s really annoying when you go there and they’re already closed because they don’t know how to change their hours.
