Lamb skewers, Lagman dry noodles, and we absolutely love the dumplings (steamed), and the eggplant and capsicum stir fry. While it is nice, there are other places that make Dapanji that we preferred, but we come here for the other dishes mentioned. Plenty of other food available, but I pretty much stick with what I like when visiting.
The service was disgraceful. Very disorganised for our party. Did not service us tee nor spoons for our cake . They have over charged us by $200 And never refunded. People who paid cash towards our bill could not prove they paid cash because the owner of the restaurant pretended he did not get the cash . So our bill was extremely high even though few of our friends came to them and gave cash directly. Very dishonest people They ripped us off by $200.
We haven’t eaten Chinese food for such a long time because it is so difficult to find halal restaurants in Newcastle. We visited Dolan Uyghur with family in Melbourne who had been a number of times previously. The Restaurant is quite large and the Uyghur culture is evident on the walls. The six of us shared plates of noodles, chicken skewers, spicy fungi and stir fry vegetables. The meals are large and the service is quick. Couldn’t fault the food, will certainly revisit when we are in Melbourne in again. There were families with children as well as couples and small groups like us. The food is not expensive so would be ideal for a party group.
These guys serve excellent food here! Extensive menue, Portions are huge, great service cosy place! A must go to when in Melbourne!
This restaurant is a true gem. The food is absolutely delicious. We have been eating here for over seven years and enjoy it every time. It is great authentic Uyghur food prepared and cooked by Uyghur people. The noodles are handmade and if you have lunch there you can hear the slap of the noodles being made in the kitchen. There is a range of very spicy(chilli) to non spicy. For those who care, it is Halal.
