No spicy sauce except Tabasco. overpriced for the portions. Owner said halal meat is from restaurant depot.
The owner is super friendly and the food is delicious. We stumbled onto this restaurant but I would gladly go again!
I had to laugh reading the reviews of Hudson Shawarma that said servings were small; they must 've taken that to heart because, whoowee, when I ordered the chicken shawarma platter (comes with rice and a small salad), it was a really generous serving! The spices are delicious without being overpowering. The rice is fresh and slightly flavored. Appreciate the small salad, although that is tiny it 's kind of like they 're saying, Listen, if you 're going to pound all this chicken and rice, at least PRETEND to have a vegetable with it... The raita that goes on top is different from any raita I 've had; it 's a bit tangier/yogurtier (yes, it 's a word), and I really like the way it compliments the flavors of the spices. Was with someone who got falafel and they said they really enjoyed it, too. I wasn 't really listening, to be honest, I was knees deep in chicken and rice. So good!
I never usually review places, but loved the large portion I got from this place for the Chicken Shwarma Salad. After a long day of hiking, this was the perfect amount of food to go with some Hudson Valley beers down the street.
Serious, the best food in Beacon! The most flavorful shawarma I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommended
