La Taverna Di Ro - CINGOLI

Looking at the reviews we thought this would be a pleasant evening with local food as advertised. We were welcomed with indifference and it soon became apparent they were not in favour of foreign tourists. Irritatingly you have to download a QR code to view the menu! The food was not up to the usual Italian standard we had come to expect. The Costine de Maude con salsa Barbeque was pork ribs (only just cooked) with a plastic bottle of Heinz BBQ sauce (I’m sure there are no Heinz factories locally). The Scalloppina di Pollo al Limone was just chicken with a gelatinous ‘sauce’ made from cornflour and lemon juice. I expect if you are local you’d have a better experience otherwise avoid

I had a very mixed experience. The food was exceptionally good, but the proprietor had an indifferent attitude. He took our order and brought the food, but then ignored us. We waited to be offered caffè, but he just walked by. On the other hand, the food is 5 star. I had tortelloni stuffed with meat in a mushroom sauce. A great dish. My wife had one of her favorites, pappardelle con sugo di cinghiale. We then shared a spiedo of pork. Very nice. I left conflicted. Should I come back for the food, or stay away because of the service?

Been there yesterday Monday 23/10/17 for lunch. 5 star food and service, highly recommended if you are visiting Cingoli or in the vicinity. Apart from food the wine is excellent and if the weather permits you can stay outside, the view is fantastic. Thanks Brunella and Ro.

This restaurant was recommended for meat. It was great. I didn't try the pasta bit the meat was excellent. Positioned by a main gate in the walls of the old city. Recommended

Typical Taverna for local food but with quality. do not await for a big Menu, Nice selection of local wines is available. closed on wednesday.
