Ika Sushi Grill - Chula Vista

So living in Japan for 10 years has really been a curse. What I mean is I can not for the life of me find good Japanese food here in the states. I gave this restaurant a shot and was very disappointed. The udon had no flavor, the chicken teriaki was bland and the chicken was tough. The veggie tempura was under cooked and the nigiri was average at best. I will definitely not come back to this restaurant and checked it off as another failed attempt at Japanese food here stateside.

I've been to this restaurant several times food is always on point and the customer service friendly and knowledgeable Bobby Pineda always gives great suggestions on their sushi, will keep coming back.Food: 5/5

Ordered the chipotle roll, pork gyoza and the King Roll. Pork gyoza was yummy. The rolls were good. I wouldn't say it's the best I've had it did the job for sushi craving. Service was good the waiter was very attentive in the beginning We had a different waiter that seemed to be serving all the tables. Pretty big space lots of seating inside and at the sushi bar. Parking was easy huge parking lot.
