Thai Tha Hai Restaurant - Chippendale

Decent lunch special, good taste overall. My favorite dish is Chiang Mai, which is a bowl of curry with thick egg noodle and the choice of chicken / beef / pork / vegied.

Reasonable food at good price. Fairly standard Thai fare. The cardboard cartons on the floors at each doorway (pouring with rain outside) probably doesn't do them any favours. If you're after cheap & cheerful and you don't want to go far, this is acceptable. Service was friendly, but the main waitress yelling at the kitchen staff at high pitch didn't help the experience.

We had the spring rolls with pumpkin and then the Pad Thai. Super good! I had a Thai iced tea--yum!!

I do not like chilli. So finding nice curries can be difficult. The yellow curry and (I think it was) the massaman curry were very nice.

Thai Tha Hai is a good eatery, some dishes remain a good predictable standard and others can often vary. That said went many many times and would never say it's bad, nor have I had a bad meal. Simple fit out big tables with park like benches comfortable enough for a meal but certainly not for a few hours, but that's not what this restaurant is for. That charming Thai friendliness is always there no matter how busy they are. Food is usually super quick but still cooked too orderPerfect for a meal before going out, a quick tasty meal or before going to the Seymour Centre which is just up the road.
