The Bartender named Jordan helped quench my thirst with a few craft beers. She was effervescent and exceptionally efficient at pulling pints and handing out suggestions. One of her coworkers Ryan, made a number of helpful food suggestions that turned out to be excellent. The place was rockin and the food came out quickly and was delicious. This is a great bar, staffed with terrific staff...Thank you Jordan and Ryan. A great venue for delicious food , cold drinks and awesome music ..... This place is not to be missed!
Nice pub with great staff, eat a cpl of times there and was very comfortable!! Wifi available, live music on the weekends and food is very yummy!! Good prices nixes portions!
The servers were excellent and the range of beers on tap impressive. We had a snack and quaffed a couple of pints, so mostly it was a good experience. A detractor -- and maybe one I would not have mentioned if I didn't see it mentioned in other reviews here -- was the 'regulars.' I know they are locals as the servers were calling them by name and trying to get them to settle down. In a word they were LOUD. Too bad really as otherwise this was an OK place to visit.
Just spent two weeks visiting a friend in chilliwack. Went to the Triple Play on a Thursday night as I heard the music was outstanding. I was not disappointed. The staff are friendly and attentive. But the music....superb. The musicians are highly skilled and professional and create an atmosphere of fun, celebration and melody that will leave you wanting more. The worst part is closing time....don't miss this gem of a pub.
I had driven past the Triple Play a few times, reading its awning which boasted, "Great Food, Great Service, Great Beer." I finally stopped in to see if it was true. It was.First of all, the bartender went over all the properties of the beers they have on tap - and they have A LOT of beers on tap. The seasonal tap list alone took 10 minutes to cover (did I mention they have a lot of beer?), but the friendly guy was willing to describe each and every one of them. This helped narrow down the choices to four beers, but I didn't have to go any further, because they have a beer paddle sampler. Yippee!Next, I ordered an appetizer of steak bites. Most BC pubs offer this, or dry rib bites, as an appetizer. However, most BC pubs make their steak bites out of sirloin tips. The Triple Play used a tenderloin steak, and, I swear, they served the entire steak to me! And it wasn't over-cooked, either, as I have encountered in many pubs. It was a perfect medium; juicy and tender. They serve it with a "cusabi" dip, which is wasabi made mild in a creamy sauce. The burger menu was daunting, as well. Too bad they don't have a burger paddle. I went for a "Triple Play," but I am darned well going back for the "Peanut Butter and Bacon Jam Burger." And all their options can be made gluten-free with a bun or bread change at a small additional cost. This pub is not a trendy or posh place: the seating is mostly perched bar stools with some beat-up booths and tables on two levels, but the service is top-notch. I ate upstairs, and the waitress ran up and down constantly to check on me, bringing extra napkins, etc. all through my meal, and answering any questions I asked about the food, just short of giving away their secret recipes.
