Wabo's Pizza Sub Donair - Cheticamp

Each year, this restaurant improves. I drove 20 hours to get here, and the donair was absolutely worth it. If you want the best experience, order the large donair with extra tomatoes and a side of extra sauce. You won't regret it—just enjoy your meal!

During my vacation, I decided to give this place a try, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The pizza and garlic fingers were poorly made, using subpar ingredients that had an odd taste. To make matters worse, I was charged an extra $5 for donair sauce, which other pizza shops in Nova Scotia typically include for free. Overall, I found this establishment to be overpriced and more of a tourist trap than a quality pizza spot.

Ordered garlic fingers and mozza sticks, was told it would be an hour and 15 min wait. We were okay with that and went in at just over an hour and 15. Lady working was nice. Food however was not good, mozza sticks were cold and cheese was hard inside. Garlic fingers didn't come with any donair sauce and we weren't about to go all the way back to ask about it. While I waited there another person came in missing something from their order. For that long of a wait and high price, the accuracy and quality should be there. Wouldn't go back.

We vacationed in Cape Breton, Cabot Trail, July August 2018 and got take out and ate at Wabo's Restaurant at least five times or better. We ordered salads, pizza, Donair sub, burger, chicken and poutine, etc. The food was delicious and the staff and service was attentive and friendly. Great relaxing atmosphere in restaurant and outside dining area. We have been vacationing on the Cabot Trail since 1992 and look forward to our return visit in 2019. We will recommend Wabo's to our friends and family. Stop by Wabo's and give it a try. You won't be disappointed!! See you next year Wabo's!!

Pizza is delicious, especially with pineapple, There is a variety of toppings you a choose from. The cranberry salad was good and fresh but the garden salad was average. The pasta was below average but it came with the most delicious garlic bread I've ever tasted. The view is also pretty great, you can see the lake. I recommend people to come to this restaurant.
