Delicious food and wonderful service- a gem in Chetek! We had wonderful lunch- the best schnitzel I’ve ever had. Usually, I’m not a fan and it was amazing! If you want cut to order meat, Norbert will come take your order. I’m assuming Norbert is the owner. There’s a photo frame of his hometown in Germany on the wall. German coffee is great. We left stuffed and loaded with delicious groceries for our camping trip. Can’t wait to try the sausage patties for breakfast and seasoned ribeye on the grill tomorrow. Thank you!

Amazing gem of a place. I had the butcher's breakfast, and everything was spectacular. Ribeye was seasoned perfectly, and the German hashbrowns were amazing with onions and green peppers. They give you cheese sauce that goes a long way and homemade recipe that you can purchase to take home. It goes on almost anything. The service was top-notch and attentive. The atmosphere was also very welcoming. I wish I had come here a long time ago and the prices are very affordable.

Good food, but absolutely abysmal service (bottom 1% of my lived restaurant experiences)... It literally took an hour and 20 minutes to get our food after a long wait to order (4 people, regular on menu orders, and not during peak time), then we couldn 't pay due to credit card/register issues another 20+ minutes. And it wasn 't busy , as they tried to excuse (several open tables, immediate seating, honesty less busy when we arrived than any other normal weekend day). The server and staff were all very friendly, but not a word from the manager or any attempt to make it right for us or other customers due to unprecedented delay. We 're not likely to go back, and I 'm very unimpressed by the management in how they handled this situation; at the very least, I 'd expect management acknowledgment of the issue. Bottom line management failure I hate to say it, but they don 't deserve any more of our business, and I 'm saddened to say you shouldn 't give them yours either.
