Delicious New York style pizza- best we've found in the area so far. Have not eaten in yet
I think even Gandhi would be irritated and lose his s over the service in this sad excuse for a place that claims to serve food. I can make this a post you could read for 2 hours but it's not even worth more of my completely wasted time, effort and energy. The food quality, honestly, not bad. The service=HORRIBLE!!!! The OWNERRRRRR, of all people, was the culprit. If you can't lead, how do you expect anyone to follow, to display good service. Our very simple food order took an hour and a half and was ordered 4 times by the exact same person in our party, still, food never put in and as a result, still waiting, the whole time, for food that was never even put into a computer system. I applaud the bartender who was cordial, apologetic and patient, I applaud the cooks for their food, although I wouldn't order here ever again for the simple fact that the service was horrible right at the top! Have fun ordering (sarcastic), but enjoy the yummy food the cooks produce (serious). Also, maybe the owner should pick another business to own. Oh also, our order was COMPLETELY not correct (again, the fault of the person who took the order-the owner).
We were turned away from another establishment due to their kitchen closing early, and this was recommended to us, being just up the road and open later. The front is a typical bar but there is a dining room in the back, decent sized, but empty on a Saturday night around 8:30. The food is the usual pub fare: fried appetizers, wraps, and a couple fried seafood dinners. We started with fried mushrooms, which was enough for several people, but they came out with the rest of the food. I got a fried clam dinner, another person got a fried seafood combo, one got a wrap, one got a salad. My friend with the combo said his was good, but the others didn't really comment; I assume it was ok since they ate most if not all of their meals. To me, the clams tasted slightly off, not as in bad, but as if there were something I didn't like in the breading, or maybe the oil needed to be changed. The mushrooms were ok, not great, but about what you'd expect, with a nice horseradish dipping sauce. The fries were good, but with everything coming at once, it was again easy to fill up too quickly, and I left a LOT of food on the plate (nor did I want to take it with me, as I wasn't driving it back down the Northway the next morning). As to service, our waitress was pleasant enough, altho I think there was a mixup with the drinks (or else cranberry juice is now clear and watery) and she disappeared after the food came. The bartender came back, however, to check on us and bring the bill, and he was friendly. I kind of wish we'd hit this place on clam night, because altho the fried clams weren't so great, I think the steamers might be really good here. Would I eat here again? Probably not, there are enough other options that I would prefer to try first.
Gave it another chance when the new owners took over. There was Italian menu that was decent. I returned a couple of weeks later and was told they only serve that Italian once in awhile. We were stuck eating from the menu of deep fried store bought frozen dinner items.
