Przekaż informację zwrotnąMyself and my husband ended up here for dinner before heading to a show at the nearby Comedy Store. We had not been to the Entertainment Quarter before. To be fair, there was a football game on at the Stadium which dramatically increased the crowd in the entire complex. On the whole, our dinner here was very disappointing. Service was very slow. Guests have to seat themselves whenever a free table pops up, which is ok, but you then have to get up and go outside again to place an order in a disorganised queue at a window located in a pedestrian thoroughfare which was likely more crowded than usual due to the fact it was cold and raining. We were unable to see a menu at our table, with several waitstaff saying they would bring them to us, only to be told several minutes later that in fact they didn't have any. The food was acceptable, but certainly not remarkable, and was definitely overpriced. Given the completely haphazard level of service and the fact that it seems to operate more like a bistro in some ways, I think overall the value is poor.
I stopped by this place for afternoon tea after visiting the Body Exhibition. The Toby Estate coffee was excellent and well-prepared. The variety of cakes was impressive, with the chocolate brownie being a standout and beautifully presented. However, it was difficult to have a conversation due to the loud music playing during the meal.
The dessert bar offers a wide variety of delicious desserts, crepes, ice cream, and beverages. The diverse menu makes it worth revisiting. However, the biggest challenge is the staff managing the cash register. On two occasions, customers and serving staff have been frustrated due to the cashier wandering off, struggling to understand orders, and communicating in broken English. After multiple attempts to get our orders correct and experiencing delays in service due to order mistakes, along with an abrupt service attitude from the cashier, we believe this will be our last visit. We had hoped the cafe was just having a bad day, but it seems others share our sentiments based on comments from other customers.
Located in the entertainment complex at Moore Park, Dolcetto is in a prime spot for those visiting the football stadiums, Fox Studios, and other entertainment venues. It's a convenient choice for a post-game meal at the Sydney Cricket Ground or Football Stadium. One great perk is that if you have your parking ticket stamped when paying, you can save over 50% on parking fees. The food at Dolcetto is generally good, with their fish and chips being a standout. However, some other dishes may leave you feeling underwhelmed. While the prices are reasonable, the service can be lacking. It seems like the management either doesn't have enough staff during busy times or they are disorganized.
The dessert bar has a wonderful variety of desserts, crepes, icecream and great coffee or cold drinks. The variety makes it worthwhile coming back to. The challenge is the staff managing the orders on the cash register. On two occassions now the frustration of customers and serving staff has been due to the cashier wandering off, not understanding the order and asking for orders in broken english. After three attempts to get icecream and a coffee order correct, delays in service as orders had to be corrected and a rather abrupt service attitude by the cashier- I think this will be our last visit having given the benefit of the doubt to the cafe as maybe having a bad day. Certainly we were not alone in our view given comments from other customers.
