Poppy's Top Dog - Chesapeake

This is the best breakfast spot in the South Norfolk area. A big thanks to Pop and his staff for their excellent service!

Very disappointed. Staff is rude and has no patience. The food was not good. I got 5 pieces of burnt bacon, two undercooked bacon, two undercooked sausage, two undercooked eggs. The only thing was good was the fries and toast. I would have never gave that to a customer from my restaurant. We work to hard for our money to pay for this type of service

I was in the area. I haven’t eaten breakfast, and I tried their bacon, egg and cheese. Add mayo, and butter on wheat toast and it was amazing. It reminded me of how my grandmother used to make my breakfast sandwich. I will be back for lunch today as well I think the owner was there an older gentleman, possibly military veteran like myself Feels good to support small businesses like this.

If you're looking for a great hotdog place, Poppy's TopDog in Chesapeake on Bainbridge is the spot! They offer the best gourmet hotdogs in town. When I browsed through the menu, I couldn't decide between a Philly cheesesteak and a cheeseburger, so they made me a cheesesteak burger instead! My server, Johnny, was fantastic, and chef Lazz demonstrated impressive culinary skills, as you can see in my photo. I'll definitely be coming back here. It's a wonderful diner—come by and enjoy!

This place was ok, it didn't knock my socks off but the food was fulfilling. The price was high to me but I got a decent amount of food. It wasn't good enough for me to revisit again and again. It's not bad but just not super good neither
