Martin's Soulfood Catering - Chesapeake

My family commissioned Martin's on 12 January 2019 to serve my sister. We ordered fried chicken, baked chicken, potatoes, green beans and rolls. The fried chicken was barely edible, extremely salty and burned to a crack. The green beans were saturated with salt and had a strong vinegar taste. I could only eat the potatoes, but the potatoes were not seasoned with basic salt and pepper. My family left the repast and went to a restaurant to eat as we couldn't eat Martin's food. There were also over a hundred guests who were present outside my family to visit the funeral services and the repast, but we had left several trays of food, which leads me to believe that our guests do not enjoy the food. I would not contrast or recommend Martin's catering services for future events.

Martin's has good food at reasonable prices and a very friendly environment that you feel at home

Use to eat there several times a week, stop going... Food became the worst and worst. The last meal I took back told them to eat them.

It used to be the best. Not sure if they are under new ownership, management or all new employees, but they are terrible. We miss the old Martin's Sould Food. You never answer the phone. Half the time they're out of the stuff they had ALWAYS. The food isn't almost as good and it seems you have to serve. So disappointing. They were awesome and super nice and great food. Too bad.

I got sides only, Mac and cheese and yams. Both were delicious and came in a nice sized container compared to the other Martins location. The only reason I didn?t give 5 stars is because I would?ve liked for there to be a veggie plate option (as many souls food places have) that comes with just sides rather than having to order them separately.
