Munchies On Main - Charters Towers

After a little bit of looking around we decided to eat here.We both went for a rumpsteak and to our joy we only paid 12AUD each, a great surprise since the menu listed 22AUD.Apparently it was a daily special.If you run such promos, perhaps a good idea to list them outside to attract more customers? We were told it would take 15minutes for the food. 15minutes became 30minutes and we were the only customers inside.The waiter was friendly though and apologized for the delay. The quality of the meat equaled the price though, it was cooked way too long. We expected a medium steak but got a welldone steak instead.Othert than that, all good.

Munchies on Main continues to serve up great food right across the board. From the delicious pasties I just devoured, to the old fashioned home cooked meals and cakes and slices. You can go wrong here. Specials daily, (try the awesome crumbed chicken and garlic sauce), through to the to-die-for slices just like grandma used to make, Munchies ticks all the boxes. They also have ice-creams, milk shakes and coffees. I always order ahead and just pop in and grab the food 10 minutes or so later. There's a choice of eat in or take away too. Something else from the menu not to miss is the roast rolls. Best food.

Hard to find a place that does fish and chips better. Good sized pieces. Crumbed fish is excellent. Service quick and friendly. Phone ahead for your order so there is no wait time

Had coffee here this morning. Best coffee in quite some time. Friendly staff. Didn't eat though saw some of the dishes being served, they looked amazing. I know they also do delivery to the caravan park we are staying in, for only $15 you get a huge dinner. Hot, fresh and enough for another meal the next day. The cafe is not much to look at, however, well worth trying out. Loved it.

If you are after an amazing foodie experience you have to try this place. It is now my favourite place to eat in this town, and you can't go wrong. The roast lamb is the best I have ever eaten, the terra burger to die for, and the loaded fries definitely surpass any others you may have come across.
