The sticky rice dumpling wasn't wrapped tightly, resulting in loose rice when unwrapped. The sweet tofu soup was overly watery, and the tofu had an unpleasant bitter aftertaste. I spent $35 on the entire meal, and I was very disappointed.
To my surprise, he refused to sell me half a pound and instead insisted that I had to purchase an entire pound. When I agreed to that, he told me no once again. He claimed that he couldn't sell me a pound because there was only a pound and a half left, and if I bought a pound, he would be left with half a pound that nobody would want to buy. What kind of logic is that? I simply wanted to buy half a pound, and now I couldn't even get a full pound because he was worried about leftovers? This isn’t how restaurants should operate. I began to wonder if he even sold that pork belly at all. I ended up going to the Korean restaurant next door, which had far superior quality and service, and I spent $50 on a delicious meal to take home just to spite the experience I had at this place. Do yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant. The poor service and unpleasant attitude reflect a failing business. STAY AWAY!
The weekends are the best time to visit, as they offer a variety of dim sum, cooked dishes, and soups. The soup is particularly good! During the week, their menu is more limited, and I suspect the dim sum may be frozen, unlike what you might find at other restaurants. I tend to order the same dishes each time, and my absolute favorite is their wonderful sesame balls. Their brittle wine and BBQ pork are also delicious, but the brittle wine has my preference, and it seems my dog agrees! Believe it or not, she can be quite picky, but she really enjoys the roasted meats as well.
This is the “fresh” pork belly they sold to us and kept making excuses for even though it smelled like rotten roadkill. They didn’t want to refund the $40 paid for this **** and had the worse attitude telling me to go ahead and post it online. You’re better off going around the corner or Falls Church.
They sell this spoiled meat to my uncle for over $40 and don't think they need to refund him. They're so lucky it was to my uncle because I would have t town it in their damn face trying to take advantage of people during Christmas.
