The Orchards - Chambersburg

My wife and I had an incredible dining experience filled with a wonderful atmosphere. Our server, Jubile Tauy, was exceptional. We are definitely returning, and my wife has declared this our new go-to place for special nights out!

I made a reservation for New Year's Eve two weeks in advance and asked if prime rib would be on the menu. The person I spoke to confirmed they would check with the chef, and I felt confident it would be available. We arrived at 5:55 for our 6:00 reservation for four people. We ordered drinks and a few appetizers, and by 6:15, we were ready to place our dinner orders. Unfortunately, the server came back to inform us that they were out of prime rib. There were only six entrées to choose from on the menu, and they were already out of one by 6:15. I was very disappointed.

The extra touches at this restaurant are impressive, including the warm towels, kitchen tastings, bread, and sorbet. However, the steak was not cooked to order, and the crab tortellini contained very little crab. The food was not served very hot, and the dishes arrived at staggered times. Given that this is one of the most expensive restaurants in Chambersburg, my expectations were higher, particularly regarding the quality of the food.
