Scholars - Ceredigion

Very underrated pub in Aberystwyth. It's always my starting point in every Aber night out. I was a frequent patron during my time in uni and after; from 2018 till 2023. Scholars Bar a fantastic venue to meet up with friends and have drinks with. The tables are ample and spacious, enough to accommodate large social groups. I'm sadden to hear it's temporary closed even under a new management. Hopefully, it gets the love it deserves in the near future if it ever reopens.

Lovely pub with good prices and good service. Sometimes live music. No food served here

First time I visited this pub and it is awesome! Pool, darts, cocktails, jukebox. Great atmosphere. It's out of the way so not a pub you would just walk past, but it's a must find.

Nice staff good first place to go to on a night out

Decent place. Friendly staff. Haven't been here for a while, slightly strange atmosphere. Music played is rock and metal, which is cool enough. Dove bar vibes. But the decor is the same as it was years ago, country pub filled with antiques kind of feel. Doesn't quite gel with the music and atmosphere. But it's OK. Still a great spot to stop off, and great staff.
