R&j Cosy Corner Zì Zài Zhāi Boon Keng

Excellent variety of options and dishes. They also served an amazing chili.

We visited the restaurant for lunch and arrived just before noon, which turned out to be a smart choice because it gets quite crowded later on, especially with office lunches. We ordered a selection of dishes, including fried spinach with chili, lady fingers, Kung Pao lion's mane mushrooms, steamed fish (my favorite of the meal), chicken rice (which arrived quite late, almost as if they forgot it), and a side of brown rice (served in a very small portion). We ordered everything in medium size, but they ended up being smaller than we anticipated, leaving me feeling hungry when we finished. There were five of us dining, so we probably should have ordered a few larger dishes. Overall, the food was delicious and came out of the kitchen quickly, except for the chicken, which took longer. Everyone was satisfied with the meal!

The restaurant is a good choice for a vegetarian meal for one. However, some dishes can be a bit oily and salty.

Popped by Zi Zai Vegetarian 5 min walk from Boon Keng MRT) for their Penang Laksa $6) The ingredients consists of deep friend mock fish and tofu. Nice! Just how I want it to be. If there is more cucumber, pineapple and mint leaves, I would be very satisfied. A little nice cosy eatery with good option and pocket friendly
