El Paraiso Mexican Grill - Cedar Rapids

The last two times I went to El Paraiso, my food was amazing, but my service was terrible. Our waitress never checked us once we got our food, never came back to fill our drinks, and we had to ask a woman who was tables for our cheques and boxes. Many of the waiting staff were on their phones or at the bar. We weren't the only table that took care of her waiting staff. My bill alone was almost $50. I had a mango margarita and ceviche that was fantastic. I waited the tables before, and I understand that there is a lack of help, but that was only unacceptable today. There were many people working, no excuse for the bad service. Next time (if there is one) my order will go. I met three of my closest friends there because I love the food and none of them said they were back. If you have the time and patience to eat there, the food is really good.

The first time to eat Mexican food and it was really nice! for the first time got the chicken quesadilla with roasted rice, but the steak quesadilla is muy delicioso! very good queso cheese also

We have only been here twice. The food was excellent both times. The first time, we ordered a large beer, this time we ordered a medium sized margarita. I was shocked when I got the check. Medium Margaritas are 16.99 each. That is totally ridiculous! That was more than we paid for our entrees.

Saw on the terrace that could use a little more love. music, outdoor fans would be a step in the right direction. the personal was friendly. confirmed pollen con arroz a paloma to drink. the food came out quickly! delicious! the hunch was very seasonal and juicy. the paloma had so much taste, but was a little too sweet for my taste, but still tasted good. the prices are on the higher side compared to other local Mexican cuisine, but overall great food.

Have already eaten here and normally like it, but....today the enchilada was served with a dark red pasty sauce that tasted old and not good, so I ate only a bite and was glad that I did not eat anymore. The fried beans were runny and there must have been a cheese storage because there was hardly any cheese. Also the salsa was yuky, tasted old and from
