Les Planches - Cayeux-sur-Mer

Back from the sea we wanted a gourmet break. the place is pretty well realized ( entirely by the boss) and the good idea is this roof terrace that allows to dominate the street and see the sea. We're taking ice and waffles. ice cream is made in Normandy and of good quality, well presented. waffles do not appear to be made on demand, of correct quality. Chocolate appetizer did not unanimity the young. balance: 4 for view, 3 for waffles. the boss seems to be voluntary and able to take into account the comments to progress.

We chose this restaurant because it offered vegetarian dishes. After our installation, we waited for loooonnngues minutes before we could order, feeling we were forgotten while we were facing the bar. We could excuse this waiting because we arrived in the middle of rush, the servers were visibly overwhelmed. We ordered a vegetarian bruschetta that once served did not look like a bruschetta: piece of soft and dried bread with some vegetables on it. After a few forks, we had the surprise to discover that most vegetables (shorts and eggplants) were still cold or even frozen. We didn't expect us to be "homemade," but from there to eat vegetables even not warmed...When we complained, the manager answered us with height and contempt, arguing that "it happened to everyone to make mistakes" and that he, at least, agreed to receive us unlike his competitors...Bref, a real scandal.

The terrace is superb in good weather, the consumption (bar) is not too expensive. for the meal, the raw material is of quality, the dishes are good but a little expensive. the service lacks rickshaw but for the holidays we spend a good time.

After a nice walk, dessert on the terrace with sea view. quality ice!! Very nice moment!

Extremely decus... it had to start. .but after more than 1 hour waiting between the ordering and the arrival of the dishes...we would have understood it (weekend of August 15) if it is disappointment at their arrival. ..18€90 for a 1/2 box of pasta....the accompanients were pretty good...but still. .and above all a child waiting to be served after us for a fried sausage! .a panini or a bruschetta why not but not beyond. .review your card or rates as the setting is rather pleasant. .and accept the remarks.
