Auberge de la Louviere

Probably my favourite restaurant in fort Mahon, lovely surroundings and pretty garden, I was camping nearby so this was luxury to me. Enjoyed every minute. Go.

We had an excellent meal, interesting and well presented. The dining room was very pleasant. We were most disappointed by the service - our aperitifs were forgotten, unprofessional attitude of some of the staff, the red wine was very cold and there was an error in the bill. Apart from that, it was value for money.

We have been to Fort Mahon many times over the last decade, but only found this delightful restaurant in the back streets this year. Its great! The staff (I think its family run) are charming and attentive without intrusion. The place itself is a converted old house with a main airy dining area, a private salon and outdoor seating in the garden.The menu changes depending on what's available that day in the market, and seafood, fish and open roasted meat feature prominently. We were a party of 7 (4 adults and 3 teens) and had a wide variety of dishes, all of which were nicely prepared and presented. The wine list is simple, reasonably priced and good valueWe will definitely be back. Very good

My husband and I went here on his birthday during a recent holiday in fort Mahon. The whole experience was wonderful and the food was delicious. My husbands seafood starter was spectacular and the local cheeses were delicious. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommended
