Przekaż informację zwrotnąThe food has been really good so far, I have only been here twice and both times I had the Betty Down Home chicken sandwich with fries. The only difference is one of the times they added the spicy honey directly to the sandwich and the other time it came on the side which I prefer as it keeps the bun from falling apart.I will definitely be coming back to try different items on the menu.
The Cannery Kitchen and Tap is a lively place in Castro Valley Marketplace. It has both indoor and outdoor seating options. Extensive breakfast and brunch menu. We ordered The Tucker poached eggs and salmon on biscuits, The Boulevard poached eggs on chickpea cake and Betty's Down Home burger buttermilk fried chicken burger. The food was good but the poached egg was not runny and tasted more like boiled egg. The hollandaise sauce was good. My friend liked the fried chicken burger and smoked salmon. After brunch/lunch, you can check out the marketplace and head to Lake Chabot (8 10 min drive).
So disappointed. We always loved The Cannery when it was in Hayward. Today I went for the 1st time in Castro Valley ordered a ham breakfast sandwich like always. The bread was completely overcooked hard and literally sopping wet with butter. : I had to remove the bread and use a napkin to clean my plate and dab the ham/egg so I could at least cut the ham and egg to eat that. The cashier was extremely slow and tended to other items practically avoiding the people in line. Overall very disappointed. I will try one more time though in hopes this was just a bad day for the cashier cook staff.
The Cannery Kitchen Tap restaurant in Castro Valley is a gem of a spot for great food and an enjoyable dining experience. Their menu features a variety of dishes, including the popular Betty's Down Home Chicken and Diestel Turkey sandwich, both of which are worth trying.Betty's Down Home Chicken is a delicious and hearty dish, featuring a crispy fried chicken breast served with coleslaw and sriracha aioli, and a side of fries or chips. The chicken is perfectly cooked, with a crispy and golden crust that gives way to tender and juicy meat inside. The Diestel Turkey sandwich with garlic aioli sauce is another standout option, with a fresh avocado that holds together a generous serving of sliced turkey, crispy bacon, and the garlic aioli sauce. The fries that come with the sandwich are equally delicious, crispy and well-seasoned.The service at the Cannery Kitchen Tap restaurant is attentive and friendly, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating options, with plenty of space and a great view of the surrounding area. One downside to the Cannery Kitchen Tap restaurant is that it can get quite busy, particularly during peak hours. However, the wait time is usually reasonable, and the food and service more than make up for any potential inconvenience.Overall, the Cannery Kitchen Tap restaurant in Castro Valley is a great spot for a satisfying and delicious meal, whether you're in the mood for some classic comfort food like Betty's Down Home Chicken, or something a bit lighter like the turkey avocado bacon sandwich. The quality of the food, attentive service, and relaxed atmosphere make it a must-visit restaurant in the area.
We had our dog with us and needed a place where we could get yummy food and sit outside by the heat lamps and this was a great choice! My partner and I split the Cubano sandwich with fries and the beet and arugula salad. The sandwich was excellent and the salad was ok but it was a great balance to the sandwich. The fries were delicious with ketchup. They must have been double fried to be so crispy.I had an IPA that I enjoyed. Service was great and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely try this place again when we pass through Castro Valley
