Fish of the Day E16.95....... portion could have been a bit bigger! Food tasted good..... one could see kitchen take cooking seriously....... soup, main, drink and dessert..... you're talking under E40. Sometimes, the girls seem a bit inattentive when you are talking to them? Closes early..... get there by 4.30. Overall, probably one of the best in the area!

We pulled in here on a Monday morning after a weekend camping on Achill island at the battle for the lake kitesurfing festival. We had great coffee and a bacon and egg bap for me and the full breakfast for Dave. Great food,busy spot and the lunch special going up on the blackboard sounded good too; butternut squash and chickpea curry and naan. Pity we were full!

Well worth the little stroll off the main street to find this place which serves up trad and moder classics. We had a fry up and scrambled eggs simple but easy to get wrong. Wish we had more days to try out all the menu but def a place we will return to. Plus one of the few places we have found in Mayo that serves rose wine! strange but true seems to be some sort of a delicacy in these parts except for Cafe Rua so well done to them.

Stopped on Castlebar with family for meal. I had take out from same restaurant in the past so was happy to try meal with family. Three different meals plus desert. Food was amazing, fresh, tasty, bursting with flavour. Nicely cooked and presented. Much of the food locally sourced. We had to wait a few minutes for seat, but was well worth it. Although we were off peak time on a Monday, this place was full...and you can taste why. This restaurant seems to be well supported locally, and long may it be on business. A definite recommendation and we will definitely return.
