Chuck's Country Smoke House - Carthage

Great place. I enjoyed my meal. Today was my first time. I came from Alabama. I was not disappointed with the food at all. I was disappointed that I couldn't get more ribs. They were almost sold out and I got there 45min after they opened. I will return for another try.

Food is excellent, place is neat and clean. Just a real down home feeling. I came for a take-home order........ and a first time customer too. I had seen them advertised on tv,. They have a great barbecue taste going on. !!!! Some of the side order items are different than I personally like....... but. My mother and my wife just can 't cook for everyone !!! Have NEVER liked BOUDAN !!!! The nice lady cut me a sample of theirs....,WOW...... Never tasted anything like this before . Give them a try,..,.....,., ...

Always great! Never had anything from here that wasn't delicious. He told me tonight that I really like it because he tried something else. He didn't lie! It was so good! In my opinion, the best bbq in the area is no doubt! Love this place!

Best brisket in East Texas, hands down. Absolutely with the big guys in the hill country. Chuck is a fantastic guy and the staff is great. Come there early.

This was found during the exploration near Lake Murval. A pleasant surprise! Notice the shields before... lol. Many memories, mostly sports. Sweet little corner washbasin in the ladies' room. We had cut beef sandwiches - delicious! I also liked her Bbq sauce. Not so impressed by Mac and Cheese and Potato Salad- seemed to be in advance. Sandwich came with onion, jalapeno pepper slices, and pimples slices. Overall, I liked the place and would stop when in the area. It had a good atmosphere.
