The cuisine here is delicious and uniquely creative. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, which included the Street Beets, sweet and sour glazed potstickers, chicken slices, and a generous children's portion of pasta. The fried green tomatoes, eggplants, and oysters also looked fantastic. However, a downside that affected our experience was that our waitress was quite overpowering and hard to manage.

I truly appreciate restaurants that source their ingredients locally, and Soul Flavor is one of those gems. Tonight, I enjoyed Marybeth's Eggplant Parmesan. The eggplant was perfectly cooked, boasting a delightful crispy texture thanks to the herbs used, which contrasted beautifully with the baked elements and was topped with shaved parmesan. The marinara sauce was light and tasted incredibly fresh. While I could have chosen to pair it with pasta in the same marinara, I opted instead for Alfredo sauce. With such fresh and delicious food, I couldn’t help but wonder how the dessert would be to end the meal. I was not disappointed! The homemade chocolate hazelnut cake, while very rich, was surprisingly lighter than fudge — creamy and smooth. The restaurant's interior featured pictures of famous musicians in what can only be described as an emotional display, complemented by soft soul jazz playing in the background.

Absolutely the best in town! Without a doubt, a 5-star experience. The host, wait staff, and bartender were all exceptional, and the quality of food and service was flawless. Everything was pristine, with fast and friendly service. The house sangria was delightful, and we enjoyed the Oysters Rockefeller, beet salad, and Deter Street Fish Tacos. The lemon blueberry cake was the perfect finishing touch. It was a sensational dining experience. Be sure to take your time and savor every course!

Yeah, this place is the real deal. Don't be in the thinking, that's just soul food. Soul Flavor is the key as it is a varied menu with soul food influences and flavors, and it is excellent! I had ribs (actually good, delicate, large sauce and spices), my wife had Paella and it was also very good (seafood was fresh and properly cooked, sauce was very tasteful). But the article that stole the show was the Key Lime Pie... just better than some I had in the keys. Service was excellent, reasonable prices, really earned a 5-star rating. Note: Menu and specialties can change, but based on our experience and the number of locals at the tables should Try this place again and again!

Great place to have dinner on the island. Unique atmosphere and great, well-rounded menu. There was a 30 minute wait for a table of 3 on Saturday around 6 so we sat at the bar. The bartenders were very attentive and the food/drinks were great. Would definitely go back for the paella and roasted potatoes
