Celtic Creamery - Carolina Beach

The ice cream and donuts here are excellent, though I feel the flavors could be improved a bit. The gift shop is well-designed and offers some nice selections. The staff is typically very friendly and willing to assist with any requests. However, I personally prefer Wake N Bake for donuts.

I visited the restaurant with my wife and our infant child. An elderly woman who was working there implied that my wife had stolen something. We had to literally show her the item to prove otherwise, after which she tried to be overly friendly. This definitely did not create a pleasant experience for us as customers. Additionally, the store was cluttered with merchandise. We will not be returning.

The ice cream here is homemade and delicious! The shop has a charming atmosphere filled with various trinkets. The service was excellent, especially considering it's the off-season at the beach. I even treated my dog to some ice cream, and she gave it two paws up!

There 's a lot going on at Celtic Creamery, and all of it is either delicious or interesting. They 've got ice cream, and made-to-order mini donuts, and fudge, and hot nuts (that 's what she said , and slushies, and milkshakes, and handbags, and t-shirts, and toys for children and dogs. You will walk out of this place satisfied in some way. We visited for ice cream. Typically, I 've found that places with the word creamery in the name give great ice cream. And in this case, my hunch was proven true. They have some great ice cream at Celtic! One of my kids got a cup of cookies and cream, and the other kid got a cookie dough milkshake. They both loved their treats. Ice cream is not really my thing, but I saw that Celtic Creamery made and sold mini donuts, which are definitely my thing. They make the donuts right after you order them, so they 're hot and fresh. They 're served with either cinnamon or powdered sugar. I got the only correct choice. (Cinnamon, just FYI. They were are great as you might think fresh cinnamon donuts might taste! The people who work at Celtic Creamery are super friendly and exceedingly patient. They didn 't blink an eye when it took us (meaning, my children a while to decide which ice cream flavor to choose. They know that choosing a flavor is a Very Important Decision, and they respect the time it takes to decide correctly.

The best ice cream I've ever tasted! The staff and owners are fantastic, and the gift shop is the finest on the island.
