Westcoast Fish & Chips - CARNARVON

We ordered fish and chips here and they were flat out as they had two young people working there without a lot of knowledge on how to handle the rush and the boss was absolutely out of control trying to do it all and show these young ones the job .We took our meal back to our caravan , opened them up and they were the best fish and chips we'd ever had . There was four of us , I had grilled snapper and the others had battered snapper .

Ordered our meal over the phone and once got to the shop one man who looked to be in charge was speaking and treating two young staff members awfully, absolutely disgraceful!! I ended up cancelling our order, don't care how good the food is, there is absolutely no need to treat others in that way especially when they are still learning and when you dont communicate what you are doing so they know where you are up to with orders. Disgusting behaviour and I will not be spending my money here...

Beautiful fish & chips here. Snapper & bluebone $9.00 - can't believe how cheap it is and you get LOTS of fish when you ask for 1 piece. We fed 3 adults for $31 and it was just delicious. Not a very long wait only about 15 minutes. We will definitely be back next time we're in Carnarvon.

I went here last night (Sunday) and there was one man working with 3 very young teenagers. Have to say I was disgusted at the way the man, who appeared to be running the place, spoke to and treated the other 3 staff members. At one stage I was standing outside and heard him yell 'use your brain' at one of the younger employees. I then went inside and witnessed him slamming things around and continuously screaming at the other employees (for no apparent reason) who were obviously that terrified they didn't know how to react. I find this extremely unacceptable, you didn't make them look bad you made yourself look pathetic and rude. There is no excuse for treating another person with such disrespect. If you hire young kids with no work experience you surely must expect they require a little extra training and guidance. Shame about this man because the food here is good, but I have no tolerance for bullying so will not be returning.

After reading the reviews, curiosity got the better of us! Really glad we went. We got the grilled snapper and it was delish!!! We received a very generous serving as well! Also very affordable - all up it was under $40 and it fed the 4 of us!
