Sushi Honpo - Carlton

The Sashimi was very fresh and delicious. Be careful as the Sushi Wasabi has inside. Do not order the green tea ice cream or chocolate ice cream. They are both vanilla ice cream with syrup up. The black sesame ice cream is very good! A good local restaurant.

I really like her. Food and services are always good. The price is also very cheap. I use almost every two weeks. I strongly recommend Sushi Honpo. The owner is Japanese, so you make real Japanese foods.

Book ahead!! They fill up most nights. This restaurant is TINY, but excellent. I usually get take away because I always forget to book a table. I have friends who travel from the other side of Sydney to have Honpo. Food is of a high quality, consistent, and delicious. The service is excellent and very efficient.

I'm a sucker for good food and good service. This hole in the wall has them both. Not much too look at on the outside but don't let that fool ya! Their food is always fresh and so consistent. No display windows with sushi sitting on display for long periods of time. We've never had a bad dish at Honpo.

THis small Japanese restaurant is very close to the station at Carlton and is my local as I am fortunate to live 400 metres away. It is always very busy and the reason for that is the food is very fresh, tasty and has generous serves. I have eaten here maybe six times since I discovered it after moving to Carlton and it ranks with one of the very best in terms of quality and value. Plenty of combo choices and other dishes to choose from and as I recently returned from Hokkaido in Japan it was nice to have a Sapporo beer to accompany my meal. My friends also like the place very much! どうもありがとう
