Thirty Eight Chairs - CARLTON NORTH

After 30 years of drinking long blacks, this is the best I have had. And excellent service, always happy and cheerful even if you are just having a coffee. Love the sparkling water too.

We had a fantastic family lunch at this restaurant, the food was delicious and the service was fast.

The food at this restaurant was excellent, especially the sauces. The staff kindly arranged the dishes for us to share, which was a nice touch. Overall, I would give this place 4 stars as a casual cafe. However, if we consider it a formal restaurant, the service may not meet expectations.

The staff at this restaurant is very friendly. The prices are reasonable. The bacon, duck napoli, and sourdough bread are all excellent. When I was having a rough morning with a friend, the waiter came over with complimentary glasses of prosecco, which was greatly appreciated. The coffee is also pretty good.

Beautiful food! We had the baked gnocchi, risotto and tomato, mozerella, cucumber, bread and caper salad and a fantastic rosé by the glass. The service was a bit disinterested and we were invited to sit at the crowded together and poky tables in the centre despite the inside section of the restaurant being totally empty on a Saturday at 1pm but in spite of this it was a really fantastic meal and I would go again.
