Rahi At The Waterloo - Carlisle

I hosted a surprise 40th birthday party for my best friend at this restaurant and it was an absolutely perfect experience from beginning to end. I have dined here and gotten takeout countless times in the past, so choosing this restaurant for the celebration was a no-brainer. Our party was quite large with various dietary restrictions, which can be challenging for some restaurants to accommodate. However, the food was exceptional and the service was top-notch. The staff always goes above and beyond to assist us. Despite the fact that it is a 20-mile round trip for us, we find the drive to be well worth it every time. This restaurant is one of my all-time favorite places to eat.

Lovely food, atmosphere and service. Reasonably priced. A real gem of a curry house and we'll definitely be back again!

So good we ate here twice. We stayed nearby for three nights and having enjoyed our meal on the Saturday evening we returned on Monday night. The Keema nan was fabulous but the garlic naan totally sublime. Our curries were both the best we'd ever had, Naga Chicken and Chicken Saag. The portion sizes are very good and the food prices excellent. We will be back if in the area again.

Having lived in Cumbria for two years, my partner and I make it a point to dine out once a month. Khan's at Waterloo was one of our more enjoyable experiences. They had a good selection of vegetarian options, the staff were attentive, and there wasn't too long of a wait between courses. The dishes were delicious and generously portioned. We will definitely be returning.

I drove from Preston to Carlisle specifically for this meal and it did not disappoint! We have a toddler who is lactose intolerant and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate his dietary needs so he could enjoy his meal just like we did. I cannot thank you enough and will gladly make the 200-mile round trip to visit this restaurant again and again!
