Thai Bay - Caringbah

Usually very good, but tonight's order was terrible. The Pad Thai was so bad I can only assume something has changed. I hope they turn it around quickly.. but we wont be back.

Ordered takeaway last night (Sunday 27/6). Entrees, pad Thai and basil chicken were excellent however the Choo chee prawn dish consisted of half a dozen prawns swimming in a container of soupy liquid with little else in it. Likewise the tofu and vegetable green curry— you can’t call it a vegetable curry if it doesn’t have a certain quantity of vegetable. Again the green curry was predominantly a soupy mess with six Pieces of tofu. Filling the container with fluid to make it look like there’s a lot of food is not acceptable. We have used Thai Bay for takeaway many times and have dined in on numerous occasions but this time it was a big fail.

My partner and i went last week for dinner, we had to wait approx 20 mins before anyone came to the table to take our order (thank goodness its BYO and we had our own wine to drink while waiting then another 30-40 mins for our food to arrive. the food is lovely, probably the best thai food in Caringbah. then when we wanted to leave and pay the bill, my partner was at the front desk and ignored as the staff were too busy serving all the delivery drivers first (there were at least 6 in the waitng area... my partner had to grab a staff member and ask 'can i please pay for my meal? ' while i understand they are busy with delivery orders, why are the partons sitting in the restaurant made to wait such long periods of time?? We will no longer dine there, will order take away and will expect swift service!!

Celebrated birthday with family of 8 adults and 4 young kids. Everyone was happy with food and waitresses were very friendly and efficient. Come back again for sure. Able to bring birthday cake for little or no cost.

We have been coming to this lovely restaurant for 12 years, we love it here. The staff are amazing and the variety of great food is superb. We have brought several family and friends here over the years and it never fails to impress. Sadly we are due to move to WA soon, however time for one last visit. Thanks for the wonderful service over the years.
