Had a early DELICIOUS early breakfast and again brunch at Zizzo's Coffeehouse Wine Bar in Capitola today for the first time: Their Vegan Breakfast Burrito (all plant-based of course, it’s stuffed with hash browns, Just Egg, Cheese and Chorizo with a side of salsa—we requested panini pressed—so good!!! along with Chai w/Oat Milk (rivals White Raven’s chai in Felton —normally my favorite—shame they don’t carry anything Vegan worth eating . Went back later for Zizzo’s Vegan Breakfast Sandwich (an English Muffin stacked with sausage, hash browns, Just Egg and Cheese —Super-impressive!
Unfortunately, there are no vegan baked goods or bread available at the moment since the cook is away for a week. However, the restaurant does offer a variety of breakfast burritos with tofu cubes. The barista kindly made sure to use plant butter on my bagel. They also have options like hummus and vegan cream cheese.
During a brief visit, we decided to give this place a try and we were pleasantly surprised. The assortment of baked goods, including the sweet bean pastries, were tasty and diverse. The homemade breakfast package was also very delicious. Overall, everything we tried was well-prepared and clearly made with care.
I recently went to this restaurant and was thrilled with the vegan breakfast sandwich and the breakfast chorizo burrito. In addition to these items, they also introduced vegan yogurt, a vegan protein dish, a vegan protein package, and other new offerings. I noticed that the protein shells and package had a green label indicating that they should be removed (due to allergies), but they looked appealing otherwise. I tried the protein pack and found it to be delicious! I inquired about delivery services, as the restaurant is a bit far from my location, and was told that they are planning to offer this service soon. I appreciate that they continually add new vegan menu items, giving customers like me multiple options to choose from. I recommend giving them a try for a quick coffee and meal.
