Windy City Cafe - Capitan

The restaurant owners are originally from Chicago but have been living in this area for about twelve years. We decided to visit the restaurant because we are from Chicagoland and were curious to see if their pizza would live up to our expectations. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The sauce was sweet and full of onions, and the crust was not deep dish or hand-tossed; it was more of a New York style crust, which is not my favorite. We also ordered a meatball sandwich, which we found to be overpriced as it was made with frozen meatballs that you could buy at the store. I was hoping to discover a new favorite cafe during our visit, and I wanted to like it, but the food just didn't meet our standards. I did enjoy chatting with the owners, but the food was not enough to bring me back.
