Tokyo Sushi - Canton

The sushi here is excellent! I haven't been to many other places, but I can confidently say there's nothing wrong with the sushi or the teriyaki that I tried.

I visited the sushi bar in Tokyo quite a bit back in 2008. While my friend was never impressed with the hibachi, I really enjoyed the sashimi and maki, especially after watching a skilled and entertaining chef prepare it! The service was decent, despite some language barriers, but the staff was very friendly. Although the restaurant's authenticity was questionable due to a predominantly Chinese staff, I found the overall experience to be quite satisfactory for the price. On my recent visit, I ended up on the Autobahn, near Akron, Fairlawn, and Wadsworth, where the dining options are exceptional. I did have a strong fish order when trying the tri-color, and while the fish itself was okay, it wasn't quite what I was used to. I plan to return soon, hoping that my last experience was just a one-off issue.

I really enjoy this place! Denny is one of the sushi chefs, and he brings so much energy and humor to the experience. Everyone should encourage him to attend a Cavs game! Interestingly, the restaurant serves Chinese cuisine, and we had a good laugh when my friend accidentally spoke Japanese. The food is excellent, and my two teenagers and I can dine there for just $45 to $50. It's definitely worth a visit!

I absolutely LOVE this place. It is one of my favorite places to eat. I love Japanese food and have been to Japan this place is the best! You won't find fare like this anywhere outside Japan!
