Dixie Freeze Ii - Campton

This restaurant is very popular with the locals and serves pretty good food. Unfortunately, the shake machine was not working during my last visit, but these things happen sometimes. The service was efficient and the meal was a takeout lunch. The price per person ranges from $1 to $10. Overall, I would rate the food and service both as a 4 out of 5.

Whenever I'm in my hometown, I make sure to visit Dixie Freeze. It feels like comfort food to me. Their Stromboli is my favorite and sets the standard for all others. Unfortunately, I don't get to dine there frequently as their hours don't always align with my schedule. If you're in Campton, I strongly suggest trying out Dixie Freeze for a takeout lunch. I absolutely love the cheeseburger meal box with coleslaw and fries - it's the best around! Excellent service, perfect for take-out lunch. The food is a solid 5 out of 5, as is the service and atmosphere.

I really enjoy this place, the food is quite tasty, but it seems like they have limited hours. You may have to wait around a bit to catch them open. The staff is friendly, however! It appears to be just a drive-thru, so I'm not sure if there is an indoor seating area. There is a hole in the drive-thru that needs fixing. Despite that, the place looks nice overall. The ambiance is pretty standard, nothing special, but that's not a problem.

I have a soft spot for classic 1950s restaurants that have stood the test of time. When I visited this one, they had a decent selection of dishes, but unfortunately, many items were sold out. The soft serve ice cream machine was also broken, which was disappointing. I think this place could improve by expanding their hours and simplifying their menu. On a positive note, we had a great time at a car show with over 50 vintage cars during our last visit, which really added to the retro vibe of the restaurant. I hope they can iron out their issues post-Covid and bring this place back to its full potential. I can't wait to update my review to give them 5 stars in the future!
