Country Kitchen - Campbellton

Title says it all! Unbeatable prices, unbeatable portions, unbeatable taste! :) Weather you want excellent fried food or a great tasting salad!

If you're in the mood for a large restaurant experience, then this isn't the place. The first thing you notice is the small seating area. The restaurant can accomodate about 30 or so patrons, which is pretty normal for most country eateries. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The meals offer large plates of food, beyond what you'd expect anywhere. My wife ordered the one-egg breakfast, which came with two slices of toast, a huge mound of fried potatoes, and nine, count'um, nine, slices of bacon! ($4.99) I had the whole wheat club with poutine - still, a sizable plate-ful. Those of us who frequent Country Kitchen, do so often. The food is very good, the meal size cannot be beaten, and we never go home disappointed.

Everything we've tried is awesome and the portions are crazy big. The staff are very friendly. And the prices are second to none! Totally give this place a try you will not regret it!

Unpon entering this diner, we sat for some time waiting for someone to greet us, hand us a menu or something. My mistake... being our first visit, we later learned that you take the menu yourself when you enter and place your order at the cut out peek-a-boo counter. Playing it safe, I placed two orders of fish and chips and two cups of coffee. Diners are supposed to be noted for their "good" coffee so was disappointed to have the lady pour our whimpy coffee into "take away" cups. Our order came on china plates, could they not give us a mug instead of cardboard? Anyway, the fish was meaty and home cut fries with their own coleslaw was tasty. The location of this restaurant is rural and it seems to do a good business with snowmobile enthusiasts but it really lacks some warmth of customer service.

The restaurant offers generous portions at a great price and the food is fantastic! There are plenty of options and everything is always fresh. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
