The Public - Cammeray

The new owners have actually been exploring the place since the takeover. Music/Sound upgrade sounds great! super ambiente. my wife and I ordered the nativity to dinner. wow! steak was cooked to perfection. the owner recommended the public beer. I sat all night on it.

Recently here for a function. the food was in the average, but the service was bad and came with maintenance. eating for a group of 20 came out slowly over 1.5 hours, although they were all ordered simultaneously by a person. the personal was very rude and rude during the opening of the event. we were responsible for taking decorations, returning the floor and they even refused to throw our müll (mostly packing decorations that we put in a plastic bag and small box) in their müll instead of taking it into the public müll in the parking lot.

Unfortunately, we tried to book a function at the public that enjoyed an event with friends. we could have been happy that we could not continue. Instead, the personal chose to chain us along and then not call back twice. we will not return the 16 other participants we invited.

I really like to find a afternoon beer here. the place is bright with the afternoon sun that radiates. but I wouldn't recommend it for dinner. tried it twice and both males it was under average, tables were sticky (even if we moved). great for a drink not to eat!

We’ve been four times now each time hoping that it was an off night in the kitchen previously but can now say conclusively that the food here is consistently of very poor standard. We wanted to like it as it’s a nice casual neighbourhood pub and pleasant to visit but the food just isn’t up to scratch sadly. Nice for a drink maybe. And there’s usually a cricket match on TV from around the world. That gets my vote!
