This comes across as that they do not want you to use the seating provided. Proving bad customer service. The food is okay but no where worth the high prices and the 10 minute wait for a portion of chips.
Day trip to Bury, fancied fish and chips, found a table looked at specials on menu, went to see if we could have the fish and chip special with a soft drink instead of a cup of tea and pay the 10p difference was told yes then lady didn't seem to understand what I ment...so settled on fish and chips twice and 2 soft drinke. we waited and waited people were servered before us , then food finally arrived.no knifes and forks, and no free bread and butter, the cutlery finally came stiil bo bread and butter , we asked again and waited a further 5 minutes for that to arrive. it was slow service all over place not just our table surely knifes and forks could be given at time of ordering food and paying, .I then went to loo, no loo roll, came out to ask for some, food average but service terrible, like pulling teeth to get a knife and fork with meal at same time. lady near me waited after asking twice for her cup of tea . thank god it was a day trip and we have not got to go there again

Have visited Radleys several times...Mostly on a Saturday for lunch. Their Fish are lovely and the service excellent. Will be coming again!!!
The whole thing was a bit of an ordeal really. It was pouring down outside so as I came in I looked for an appropriate place to put my wet brolly and there didn 't seem to be one, so I took it over to a table and prompted it up on the side. My friend then queued up for a good 5 minutes to place our order of two small fish and chips with tea and bread and butter and then sat down to wait. Our tea and bread was brought out within 5 minutes of ordering by a member of staff that just plonked them down, tutted at the umbrella and went off to get a 'WARNING ' slippy floor sign and plonked that down next to me without once even looking at us, despite my very british Thanks, and sorrys . I felt really embarrassed and unwelcome. 30 minutes later our order still hadn 't arrived and as we had been noticing orders placed after ours going out we decided to ask about it. Another member of staff was, to her credit, a lot more engaging and went to check on it. about 5 minutes later it arrived. Well, I know I asked for small Fish and chips but the pate was the size of a childs plate- there was so little room that I had to use the saucer of my teacup to eat my fish separately. The fish itself and the batter was really nice, but it was coated in grease and the chips were pale, greasy and inedible. I ended up leaving them. After nearly an hour we left feeling a bit gross and sickly, and pretty annoyed.
