Hero Sushi - Burwood

I love Hero sushi for their diverse sushi options. They've stepped up their game, because now they sell baos! The baos itself are large, filling, and tasty. Makes a good quick snack, especially if you're on the go. The texture of the bao is slightly tough, like it was frozen? not as fresh as the ones you'd buy at ippudo.

What this sushi roll store does differently from generic sushi stores is this one sushi that caught my eye: seaweed salad mixed in with the rice! Yay! It was a choice that I am very confident and happy to state I would not ever regret! The seaweed is the same ingredient as from the seaweed salad, I am often familiar seeing in more Korean restaurants than Japanese-only. The flavours burst and enhanced the overall sushi flavours. The other roll was a black rice tuna roll. I would say the Tuna was mixed in with Japanese mayonnaise and generous amounts of it also, providing with a pleasant taste. They were both very well-made. The interesting part to this is that I purchased these two at 7pm. Not sure when they were made but it didn't have the usual dried texture of sushi that's been sitting out all day exposed to air. Well done Hero Sushi Burwood! I'll be back for more! [Re-edit] and so I have! The Nigiri inaris are pretty yummy. The Takoyaki was a tad disappointing as it was not grilled to create an outer crunchy texture. Others were average though decent to eat. [Re-edit 2nd March]. It was 5pm and the small nigiri toppings were dried up causing the sushi to be unenjoyable and tougher (as expected as if it has been sitting there all day). Wasn't the best experience after a few great ones but not too keen on returning now as the prices remained at full price at late afternoon on a Wednesday evening!

I love Hero Sushi for your diverse sushi options. You have risen your game, because now they sell Baos! Grief The Baos themselves are big, fill and delicious. Makes a good quick snack, especially when you are on the go. Grief The texture of the BAO is a bit difficult, as if it were frozen? Not as fresh as they would buy at Ippudo.

What makes this Sushi Roll Store otherwise different from the generic sushi shops, this is a sushi that has caught my eye: algae salad mixed with the rice! Yay! The other role was a black rice tuna role. I would say the tuna was mixed with Japanese Mayonnaise and generous quantities with a pleasant taste. They were both very well done. The interesting part for this is that I have acquired these two at 19:00. Not sure when they were made, but it did not have the usual dried texture of Sushi, which sat all day, the air is exposed.
