The food was nicely prepared, the portions were average for a Mexican restaurant and the staff was friendly. The price was very reasonable. The food tasted good, no complaints there at all, except it was not very mexican. We lived in Central America for 7 years, were several times to Mexico, lived in southern Arizona and eat in many Mexican restaurants in the USA. There was no food or service. And we go back there to try other meals. But if you want authentic Mexican food, I'd have to say that you might not find it here. I will update this review after I have eaten again.

We wanted to eat here when we visit friends in the area. The place was busy (Friday night), but we sat fast and our food was served within 10 minutes after the order. Friendly staff and very good food. They won't be disappointed.

Friendly and attentive service. The staff goes out to make your culinary experience great. Always enjoy food here. Atmosphere is standard Mexican decor with a beautiful bar section. Food is above average for casual Mexican restaurants .

Great food. Fast service. Free chips and salsa. Excellent guacamole. Good margaritas. Many menu options including combo plates and a la carte options are ideal for trying new dishes or parts. Our favorite menu item is the beef Chimichanga, but we look forward to finding other items.

A little taste of Mexico right in south central Kentucky! The new restaurant is really great, definitely an upgrade! The food as always is amazing and the staff is friendly. Love El Rey!
