The Bulleen Fish Chips

Just bought 2 potato cakes and 1 scallop. For future reference scallops don't go in the same bag as a potato cake because it gets soggy. Also the oil seems to be old. I'm not sure if the owners changed recently but the standard isn't the same.

Used to be among the best in the area till it changed hands. Unfortunately now they cook in old burnt oil and don't change the oil when needed. Friends family and I now prefer to drive the distance to a shop with no burnt oil......

Love the food here but I would prefer their take away packaging get better as it was about to fall apart when i got home

Been a customer for the past 15 years. Previous owners valued regulars by a simple hello , a bigger fish, a drink, or extra potato cakes, which in return we tipped them. Above $30 get free bottle of Coke, even when order was $28. Such novelties and it 's also the freshness of the fish and chips that got us going twice a week. With these new owners, since they took over 3 years ago, we had once and was so bad, we told ourselves we NEVER going back after how dishonest the daughter was. We bought $30 and her mum (she knew us very well as she worked with the previous owners) reminded us to get a Coke. Upon collection, the daughter said only $35 and above gets a Coke. After 3 years of absence, we thought let 's give it a second chance. Hell no. This time the fish were smaller half of what their standard size, chips fewer portions and stale. NEVER ever going back, not because of a cheap bottle of Coke but because this family does not have integrity, hygiene is questionable, doesn 't value customers and they do not love what they are doing. Now we understand why there were some negative reviews. Very upset.
