I had a challenging time ensuring the waiter understood my vegan dietary needs. Despite repeatedly mentioning no milk, no butter, and no eggs, he appeared confused (and confused me). I ended up ordering the beetroot dumplings, but couldn't be certain if the dough was truly vegan or if it was cooked in butter. Despite specifying my aversion to milk, the dumplings were served with sour cream. Overall, the experience was not great, but I'm unsure if you'll find better options in the city.
The restaurant has a pleasant indoor dining area with air conditioning and the service is very friendly. They serve dishes such as pumpkin dumplings and lagman, along with side dishes like vegetable rice and roasted potatoes. The rice couscous we tried was delicious, however the traditional dish "dimlama" (potatoes, cabbage, and tomato in a clay pot) was overly salty. Skip this dish!
Communicating my vegan preferences to the waiter was a bit challenging. Despite repeating my restrictions on milk, butter, and eggs, he appeared confused (and confused me too). I opted for the beetroot dumplings, but I can't guarantee that the dough is vegan or that the filling wasn't cooked in butter. Despite specifying my dairy-free preferences to the waiter, the dumplings arrived with sour cream. Overall, the experience was not great, but I'm unsure if you'll find better options in town.

The rice cous we sampled was outstanding, but the traditional dish "dimlama" (potato, cabbage, and tomatoes in a large pot) was overly salty. Without hesitation, check it out!
