The Twisted Oar - Buford

The food was good and the view is amazing. The servers were very nice too. Unfortunately I can only give 2 stars because this restaurant uses A LOT of single use plastic. Plastic cups, plastic coleslaw dish, plastic ketchup dish, even the water comes in plastic cups. Then they put ocean safe straws on the table. That 's greenwashing. We are in the middle of a global climate crisis and as a restaurant who 's business it is to serve people, you have a responsibility to invest into reusable dishes.

IMO, this is the best dollar you can spend on Lake Lanier. Good food selection, fully stocked bar and fast friendly service bringing fresh food right to your table.

Maybe we didn't have the right look. We ordered, and food came out . No PICO or HOT SAUCE was offered for TACOS. Our waitress looked miserable and never came back to check on us. I blame that partially on not enough inside floor help. Asked for a margarita and only had 1 size to offer and was super tiny. Everyone should feel welcomed and valued in any establishment, not just lake locals. This highly affects making tips . Lake Anna in VA and The Cove is a spot the owners of this establishment should visit and take note from. ? This will not be my 1st choice while visiting friends docked there or hanging at L L .

Flipped a coin and found this little gem. Live music, lakeside dining, and friendly staff. This whole place is a vibe and there was nothing more refreshing after a terrible week at work than to just chill by the water, have a cocktail, and watch the duckies.
