Blue's Jamaican Resturant - Buford

So I’ve been here before. The oxtails are good but the jerk chicken was more sweet than spicy. In fact I tasted no jerk at all. Disappointed today but I won’t give up on this place. However, I will NOT order the jerk chicken again.

Worst experience ever. Placed an order on line. Was called to tell me that they were out of shrimp. I asked them if they had everything else and an the response was yes. I said thats fine I'll go pick up my order. When I arrived I was told that my order had been cancelled... wait what? No one could answer who cancelled it. Then I was told that it would be another 20 minutes to get my order ready... they had 3 customers total... terrible customer service. Will never be back.

Food was a bit bland and rice was dry. I came in only 2 hours after opening and the rice tasted a day old. As a vegetarian/pescatarian, I suppose the sauce from the meat dishes is what puts the flavor into the rice. It's unfortunate as you'd expect the cabbage and rice to be seasoned. Plantains are on the thin side and the veggie patties are now made with spinach and not the cabbage/corn which, instead, I prefer. The coco bread was good.

We scheduled an anniversary reservation and were treated like royalty! We wanted to have our meal here because the food is phenomenal and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is casual and fun. We each had the Mahi Mahi blackened and tried the citrus glaze on the side which was wonderful. We enjoyed the sunrise margarita and were treated with a complimentary key lime pie which was excellent! For fresh delicious seafood at a great price, this is our favorite.

I have been to this spot a few times and everytime the oxtail are different. First time they were tough and today they had no seasoning. They tender but bland I mean no seasonings and no gravy. Plus I ask for light rice and they pile all that rice and 5 oxtails. This the last time I'll support this restaurant and get this mess.
