This is a great/priced place. It's easy. No decoration. But good food and service. Beautiful great prices and beautiful quality. Steaks, Executive Lunches. Salads are good. Wines have very good prices. Only locals.
There are many places to enjoy Argentine beef in Buenos Aires. This is not a place for tourists, but for locals. In a way it seems like a neighborhood club where everyone knows, welcomes here and there from different tables. It is located in Núñez, a district at the northern end of the city of Buenos Aires. The location is comfortable, it is not luxury at all, and the service is usually the friendly Argentine style. The quality of beef and how they prepare it makes this place something to have at least one experience. Very pleasant.
Local friends chose this restaurant for 6 of us... including 2 US couples. Since they did not want to go to the city centre, this situation in Belgrano/Nunez proved to be time-saving and efficient. The restaurant opens at 19:30...but our reservation was for 8:15. At 9:30 a.m. the parrilla was summed and the service decreased accordingly. But the waiters worked hard and even the owner did his share. The chorizo on the table was delicious.... Breads were fresh and delicious... drilled Provoleta was acceptable. Since we were told that the portions were generous, we ordered Pamplona Chicken,Asado de tira and chuleton de Ojo de Bife for the table, along with a salad, fries and callabaza. The whole food was excellent....but the star was by far the Chuleton de Ojo de bife. Do not leave this restaurant without trying. Sublime Carne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We ordered 3 desserts, including flan, dulce pancakes, Apple tart american crema and a 4. (walnut concoction) was brought to the table for free. It's worth the calories. The two bottles of Malbec we ordered were a brand that was transported by Parrilla Marucha. It was good. We all liked the mood of the restaurant.... there is also a dining room upstairs, but I would give the main dining room: it seems warmer to me. Can't wait for our next trip to BA....the other US couple will certainly have the time to have another culinary experience here and our friends from there in the tombs will certainly be back. DH and I will certainly respond positively to places where locals go. Nothing is more disturbing than being in a restaurant where only English is spoken by the diners, prices are high and waiters are sniffed. If the memory serves me correctly... the total bill including tip for the 6 was LESS as 1000 Pesos. Give this parrilla an attempt. They won't be disappointed. BTW...... there is an ejecutiva lunch right now at 60 pesos/pp. I'd try it in a heartbeat.
