Osteria Agli Stemmi - BRUGNERA

I think this little osteria by the river is one of the best kept secrets of the region and it's worth a try. Lovely wines are accompanied by little bites with interesting flavours using the best ingredients. Salami and cured meat is also accompanied by traditional horseradish relish, which is not so easy to find anymore. Don't be afraid of asking for the daily menu, the staff will surprise you with a long list of dishes to tempt even fussy eaters. But don't expect prices or menu on display in typical Italian fashion. Nothing comes cheap but they won't rip you off anyway so have a go!

Abbiamo cenato con la famiglia dopo aver prenotato un tavolo per 4. Abbiamo iniziato con dei crostini preparati al momento... quelli con il salame erano eccezionali! Abbiamo poi proseguito con delle orecchiette al gorgonzola e pomodorini freschi e degli gnocchi con la pancetta... i piatti sono stati puliti in meno di 5 minuti! Come secondo abbiamo preso il baccalà con polenta, la trippa e la tartare di manzo... una sinfonia di sapori! Abbiamo concluso con il classico tiramisù preparato al momento... squisito. Il titolare Massimo e sua moglie ci hanno davvero coccolati! Grazie!

Siamo tornati in questa osteria, cordiali, efficienti, presenti, cucina del territorio, ma ben curata. Avevamo un buon ricordo, hanno confermato tutto torneremo.
