Pheasant Lounge - Brookings

Interestingly, the bartender was also acting as the hostess. She asked if we had reservations, which I assumed meant some staff members may not have shown up for work that night. We appreciated her presence, even if it felt a bit awkward. The food was excellent, and our waiter surprised us by taking 50% off the Chislic bill without mentioning it. I hope we made his night by tipping generously! We would definitely return if we ever find ourselves in Brookings again!

What a unique dining experience! The food was fantastic, and the service was even better. We felt like part of the family. We're definitely looking forward to returning!

We were very disappointed when my children from out-of-state took me here for a special birthday celebration. Granted it was a week night, but the food was not flavorful; it was tasteless and cold, including all entries and sides. The hightlight was the SDSU student who was an excellent server.

The food last night was delicious! I had the Hunter’s Pheasant Casserole, which was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We shared Kuchen for dessert; also delicious! All of the staff that we talked with were very friendly and happy. We will definitely go back!
